Hey everyone! Here is the tutorial I shared over at Sumo's Sweet Stuff the other day, I figured I should repost it here for anyone that didn't get a chance to see it.
Today I was going to share a quick little tutorial on how to spruce up any old outfit of yours. I can’t wait to make some more of these to wear with cardigans or pencil skirts this fall. Plus it took about 5 minutes to make so that never hurts. All you need is some ribbon or bias tape, some felt & a glue gun.
Start out making your felt flowers. Here is how I made mine…easy peasy.
1. Start with felt circle. 2. Cut around circle/spiral. 3. Start rolling from middle. 4. Hot glue.
Glue your felt flowers to a piece of felt. Cut a coordinating piece of felt that is the same size as your backing. Put the bias tape in the middle and sandwich your felt flower piece and the felt backing, with hot glue. Make sure the bias tape can slide through the flower so you can position it later once you have the belt on. I like to put knot the end by the flower and just let it drop down…
Done and done! Now go make a bunch to go with your outfits :) Thanks Sumo for having me!
